All year around; an outdoors midwinter-wedding with torches and bonfires - or in the midst of wild flowers in late night summer sunset... After the ceremony a grand dinner in former Smithery hall.
Golf course on the very premises!
River Ore in winter.
Nordic light summer evenings, with golfing until 11 p.m. Do not miss this hilly and challenging 18 tee golf course among pine valleys. All accomodation within walking distance from the course.

"Last outpost" towards the vast wilderness, about ½ hour north of Rättvik town in Swedish Dalecarlia region, with the typical red house villages. A beautifully wellkept historical ironworks village dating back to 1709, with the whispering pine forests just around the corner. River Ore runs through the premises and pittoresque old buildings spread out on both sides.

Just beside the white mansion a challenging and hilly 18 tee golf course. Also a 6-hole "pay-and-play" course for beginners without the green card.

A former blacksmith hall is transformed into a spacious party and/or conference hall, also perfect for a wedding. The old mill is today pub, show room, and smithery for the blacksmith artist. The stables host a museum of countryside work tools and artifacts and a professional chamber of local farmers' costumes.

Here you can stay in the country style mansion, or in modern hotel rooms with kitchenett, or rent your own apartment for various length of stay.

You can enjoy the nature by walking, skiing, canoeing, visit waterfalls and a viewtop mountain, you can enjoy ancient Dalecarlian culture and traditions, beautiful settings and tranquility and a nice atmosphere. Most welcome!
Proprietor of Furudals bruk
Rickard Engberg welcomes everyone with heartiness and a warm laughter. He has previous rebuilt the wooden 47 meters long, three masted sail ship MARITÉ in Stockholm and sailed her across the Atlantic Ocean to the West Indies and New York, and built the largest Viking ship in the world, SVEA VIKING, placed just in front of the Royal Palace in Stockholm.

Rickard is an inspiration to every gathering, a host who can make every conference or other group of people come to unexpected cheerful heights... He travels Sweden around giving speeches about his life story with focus on companionship and setting goals, public performances and body communication. Do not miss to book this when visiting Furudals bruk!
